Who are we?

Access to reproductive health products and services is limited in Mozambique, where only 26% of married women and 47% of unmarried women use any form of modern contraception. DKT established a social marketing program in 2009 with the mission of providing high-quality and affordable contraceptives throughout Mozambique.
DKT Mozambique is an NGO operating as a business: using business skills to expand access to sexual and reproductive health services and products through the private sector, with its contraceptive brands (Intimo, Prudence, and Fiesta). We offer a variety of products, including condoms, oral contraceptives, IUDs, implants, emergency contraceptives, as well as safe abortion products. Currently, DKT Mozambique has two condom brands, Prudence and Fiesta, as well as the Intimo brand for female contraceptive and reproductive health products. DKT's brands are popular across Mozambique, with Prudence holding the largest brand equity in the country. DKT products can be found nationwide in pharmacies, kiosks, and clinics, including the DKT Intimo clinic network.
DKT is present in 60 low- and middle-income countries and is responsible for the registration, importation, storage, and distribution of sexual and reproductive health products, making it one of the largest providers of contraceptive and reproductive health products worldwide. It is also recognized for its quality and international certification, ensuring consumer safety and quality of life.
The DKT Mozambique clinic network, launched in 2011, is robust; women can access products, services, and counseling at physical clinics or mobile outreach units across the country. DKT Mozambique operates an active network of community mobilizers or activists who go door to door in rural areas, organize activities in markets, or provide educational presentations and services to school youth to educate Mozambicans about family planning.
In 2024, through its brands Prudence, Fiesta, and Intimo, DKT Mozambique reached 679,165 couples protected annually (CYP).
