Emergency Contraceptive (Morning-After Pill)

Sekure is an emergency contraceptive that can be used after unprotected sexual intercourse to prevent pregnancy. This type of contraception is generally referred to as the "morning-after pill."
Each package contains 2 pills. The second pill must be taken 12 hours after the first. Sekure should be taken as soon as possible after unprotected sexual intercourse, up to 72 hours.

CONTENTS: 2 pills, each containing 0.75 mg of levonorgestrel.

MODE OF ACTION: Prevents ovulation or fertilization and the implantation of the fertilized egg (zygote).

This method is used to prevent pregnancy in cases of sexual violence and in emergencies, such as condom breakage, miscalculation of the abstinence period method, lack of contraceptive use or failure to take regular oral contraceptive pills for three or more days of the cycle.
